Legality
As a DVLA-registered manufacturer and supplier of number plates, Plate Guy ensures that all road-legal plates meet the British Standard. By law, our road-legal plates must display our company name, postcode, and the current BSAU number.
We use the standard Charles Wright font, which is required for all legal number plates in the UK.
The Government/DVLA confirms that 3D and 4D characters are legal and compliant with motoring laws. While commonly called “4D,” these plates are still considered three-dimensional under industry standards.
